SJTCA Scholarship

SJTCA Scholarship

In an effort to give back to its constituent members, and its athletes who compete under the names of their schools, the SJTCA is awarding a scholarship in the amount of $500 to one male and one female athlete, who are also in their senior year, each season for Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track.

 

Requirements for Application:

  • Preference given to supporters of the SJTCA, its organization, and its meets.  Examples of such meets:

  • SJ Open for Cross Country

  • SJTCA Sponsored Varsity Indoor Meets 

  • SJ Open for Spring

  • Student-Athlete must also be in their senior year

  • Submission of Official High School Transcript

    • Bishop Eustace Preparatory School

  • Minimum One Page to Maximum Two Page Essay 

  • Topic for Essay should include:

  • Subject Line: SJTCA Scholarship

  • Interview by Five Member Committee

  • Must show proof of admission into a 2 or 4-year College or University before check is issued

  • Deadline for all requirements for Scholarship Application:

    • Cross Country – Monday, November 4, 2024

Interview Date: Wednesday, November 13, 2024 Bishop Eustace Prep library

  • Indoor Track – Monday, January 27, 2025

Interview Date: Tuesday, February 25, 2025 @ Bishop Eustace library

  • Outdoor Track – Monday, May 12, 2025

Interview Date:  Tuesday, June 10, 2025 @ Bishop Eustace Prep library

Mike Pascuzzo Scholarship

The Mike Pascuzzo Scholarship Fund: Scooze was a fixture on the SJ Track & Field scene. We remember him as a world class athlete, an outstanding jumps coach and a good friend of the sport in South Jersey. A yearly scholarship in his name will go to a deserving jumps athlete from a South Jersey school. Donations to the scholarship fund can be made out to the SJTCA and mailed to: The Mike Pascuzzo Scholarship Fund, c/o Steve Shaklee, 203 E Beechwood Avenue, Oaklyn, NJ 08107.
